Best race year ever?

What's the best race year you have ever been to and why?

Mine has to be 2007 which was my first actual year of attendance at this great race and watching the Audi R10 TDi competing with the Peugeots

But my first 'Le Mans Car Race' had to be in 1989 at Brands Hatch where I actually got to see the most awesome Sauber Mercedes battling with the Silk Cut Jaguars - something I will never forget!

cannot remember the exact year but the one when Peugeot and Audi were hammering it out but unfortunately Alan Simonson died in an Aston Martin as the weather was completely bonkers that weekend and they didn't know what tyres to fit
