Porsche 917 - the legendary giant of endurance racing

Yes I'm sure there were better but my personal favourite - especially in the Gulf livery

Agree the 917 is the ultimate weapon of choice. But there are other worthy opponents such as Lola T70 and GT40 which are still as beautiful and lethal as the 917.  
Basically I’m a tart and I love them all 😃

The ultimate Le Mans car in my personal opinion has to be the D-Type Jaguar 
Sleek, fast, sounds great....so many more reasons but mostly made famous by great drivers of the time

got to be the Sauber Mercedes from the Group C era seemed to be dominant back then and even held off the mighty Silk Cut jaguars
