Volvo 940 se saloon

Recommended Posts

£850    (Leicester area)

For sale is my white 1993 Volvo 940 SE saloon, 2.0 petrol with 5 speed manual gearbox which has covered 246,000 miles and is in used condition. The Volvo comes with working electric front windows, heated front seats, central locking, electric mirrors (passenger working but driver not working. Spare drivers mirror supplied), original radio cassette player with electric aerial (mast missing but new mast supplied) and manual sunroof.

Furthermore, the 940 comes with handbook, 2 keys including original dealer keyrings, original rear dealer number plate, some service history including a stamped Volvo history up to 130k miles but nothing really up to now. The car also comes with an MOT until December 2019 with two advisories and has had a full service including oil change, air filter, spark plugs, windscreen wipers, front discs and pads and brake fluid change at the same time. The 940 has also had a new battery and MAF sensor fitted.

Bodywork is in fair condition with surface rust, dents and scrapes on various panels and dried paint on the rear bumper as per the pictures. The interior is also in fair condition with paint marks on various parts of the interior and boot. The drivers footwell is slightly wet but I must stress that the 940 is not losing fluids. Also the drivers door card has a broken lower pocket. However, it has not been a smokers car or pet owners car.

All gauges and clock work as they should except for the fuel gauge which always shows empty. I've not had a chance to get this looked at. In addition, after a motorway run the oil light will flicker on and goes off if the engine is revved. According to the owners manual this is normal but I'm just being honest and making potential buyers aware.

Also included in the sale is a Haynes manual and spares including drivers wing mirror, heater control and a set of 5 genuine Volvo alloy wheels with centre caps and 3 spare Volvo wheel trims.

The Volvo is sold as seen with no warranty or returns and is cash on collection only from Leicester. Viewings are welcome and further pictures available on request.

Genuine reason for sale - wanting to sell to fund a Volvo 760 project.

I have been as honest as I can as I'm not wanting to waste either my time, or that of potential buyers.

In saloon form the 940 has become a rare car and is one of the last rear wheel drive Volvo models. As such it is bound to become a future classic.
